Sexual Positions to Increase Chances of Pregnancy
While there aren’t any scientific studies that prove it many people will tell you that some positions are better for increasing the chance of pregnancy than others. For couples that really want to have a baby they are surely going to try all they can to make it happen. While it is true that a pregnancy can result from any position it certainly doesn’t hurt at all to increase the odds in your favor.
The idea is for the sperm to be as close to the cervix of the female as possible. Another goal to keep in mind is to allow the sperm to stay in that location for as long as possible. Both of these efforts are going to increase the chance of the sperm being able to meet with the egg.

Gravity can be a tough barrier for sperm to deal with so eliminate it from the equation. When a couple are sitting up or standing up then the sperm has a harder time getting to the egg. Therefore, you want to try sexual positions that allow the sperm to have the easiest possible time getting to where it needs to be.
Missionary
The most common sexual position is the missionary position. This involved the female lying down with the male on top of her. This position allows for deeper penetration into the cervix of the female so the sperm are in a good starting position. A female should continue to lie down for a long time after intercourse so that the sperm stay inside of her body for as long as possible.
Placing a pillow underneath the hips and pulling the knees to the chest is a great way to help the sperm. Try to stay lying like this for a minimum of 15 minutes before moving. It will significantly assist the sperm with being able to find the way to the egg. Some couples find that they get bored with missionary position though. You can make it fun though by changing the location.

Another variation is for the female to lie close to the edge of the bed so that the pelvis is able to meet with the male who is staying or kneeling on the floor. Just keep in mind that you need to stay in that position for at least 15 minutes after intercourse to allow the sperm the chance to get to the egg.
Rear Entry Position
The rear entry position can also be a good sexual position for getting pregnant. This involves the female being on all fours with her rear towards the body of the male. This position also allows for deep penetration into the cervix of the female.
Some women have a uterus that is tipped and that can make it harder to become pregnant. However, this sexual position compensates for that so it won’t be a barrier to pregnancy.

First of all , irregular menses could be a sign of PCOS (Polycystic ovarian syndrome) so make sure to be tested for it. Secondly, the same principles apply outlined in the article above regardless of irregular menses. In other words, it’s not a matter of when you have your menses at all. It’s simply a matter of instituting the positions as part of your sexual intercourse.
